One new activity I tried this year for our end of year review time was a gallery walk. In pairs students chose a topic (one of our priority standards) and created an informative posterboard about the topic. Students were expected to have graphics, steps for solving, example problems, and problems to be worked out. After everyone was finished we set the boards up in the library and the students spent a class period working through the problems on all of the white boards. The students really took ownership of the project and the fact that they had to help explain problems if students needed help while solving helped them to be very thorough.
